The procurement and contract execution phase are critical to the success of a project as its the moment when all parties should be in agreement on what is being contracted and what expectations will be moving forward. At this phase, we focus on addressing areas of risk in project scope, construction estimating, defining cost drivers, understanding schedule, and removing risk factors in contract language.
Our project experience allows us to provide thorough and detailed estimates as early as the initial concept and through to contract phase.
We provide independent scheduling to assist with project planning, earned value management, cost loaded schedules, and delay claims.
We provide thorough and detailed analysis as part of our change order review to ensure that our clients are getting a fair value. Leaning on our construction estimating experience paired with cost databases, we assess change orders from a first principals perspective to validate labor, material and equipment costs. These tools allow us to provide an independent and defensible assessment of costs. As part of the service, we often interface directly with the contractor to negotiate on the owner's behalf.
Pairing with change order review, we also provide review of labor rate to include base wage, benefits, insurances and taxes. Given that labor is a significant portion of construction costs, it's critical to have clarity and confidence in the rates used to determine total cost.
Monthly requisitions are often mountains of accounting information that can be challenging to make sense of. We're able to make the review process more efficient and assist in providing our client's peace of mind that the funds they're releasing are commensurate with work complete and per the agreement.
Our PCA process involves a heightened level of detail and due diligence. We aim to mitigate surprises with potential acquisitions and provide a thoughtful approach to the review.
We provide training services, both in-person and virtual, to assist our clients in improving their internal processes related to operations, financial due-diligence, contract administration and related areas.
